We know that it’s important to our community of writers to have access to industry experts and really good advice. We get approached a lot by writers who have specific questions. How to approach publishers. Whether you should self-publish (and if so, how do you go about that then?). Whether you need an agent, and how to find one that’s right for you. How to get that agent to open your email once you have found them. How to work with young writers. How to create interesting writing projects (and earn money from them). How to promote your own work and build an effective social media presence. Where to get critical feedback on your writing. The list goes on.

Our new Programme Managers Sharon Duggal and Sara Beadle are working on developing a fresh programme of opportunities and activities to empower writers at all stages of their writing lives.
Our Writers’ Day of discussions, workshops, industry insights and networking will take place on Saturday 30 March at The Writers’ Place in Brighton. We invite you to save the date to join us for what we intend to be an inspiring and invigorating day for writers of all backgrounds, setting the tone for the rest of the year’s programme of events and activities.
Keep an eye out for full details and booking information, and in the meantime make sure you put the date in your diary!
