Working Class Writers Collective

The Working Class Writers Collective brings together writers from working-class backgrounds based across the south-east region. The collective was established as a call to arms, to create events and activities to bring working class writing out of the margins and on to the centre of the page  NWS helped establish the collective and continues its support by providing opportunities for members to develop writing craft and careers, and through showcasing and celebrating working-class voices.

The collective spans the south east of England, encompassing writers of every sort: poets, playwrights, screenwriters, short story writers, and novelists. It is a peer-led collective, offering a platform for activism, solidarity, discussion and sharing, and supports the professional and creative development of writers in the collective.
