About Jenny Rowe
I am an actor, comedy improviser and writer. I completed the 2 year CCE Creative Writing course, initially through Sussex Uni and later NWS.
I've also trained in sketch writing and TV and Film screenplays with Secondcity (USA).
I write short stories with a 'speculative' slant. I came second in the Henshaw Press Writing Competition (Jan 2017) and 'His Master's Voice' was published in an anthology 2017. I'm also a contributer for the Mysterium and Odysseum (Ed. Jo Keeling & David Bramwell, Pub. Brewers 2017 & 18).
I have just written my first play (a one-hander about SF Writer James Tiptree Jr AKA Alice Sheldon), which I'll be performing in March 2018 at Hove Grown Festival of New Writing.
I teach adults improv for sketch, devising plays and creative writing, on my own and through my company, The Maydays (www.themaydays.co.uk).
As an improviser, I make shows and characters and stories up all the time, but we rarely write those ones down.
