Join tutor, Anita Sethi, award-winning author of I Belong Here: a Journey Along the Backbone of Britain, exploring how to observe and describe the natural world through creative writing.

What is the relationship between inner and outer landscapes and how can you harness this in your writing?  The relationship between people and place, landscape, wildlife, climate change, natural history and more can all be seen through the lens of nature writing and in this 3hr workshop we will explore what this means on the page.

Expect a morning filled with practical tools and tips, in which you have time and space to work on writing exercises and share and develop your voice.

This is a welcoming workshop: in the UK, nature writing is still an overwhelmingly monocultural literary field. Yet nature matters to all of us, crucial to our physical and mental health and sense of belonging.  Book your place now and learn how to bring the richness of nature writing to your own practice.
