Who is this course for?
About the tutor
Jacob Ross is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and has been a judge of the V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize, Scott Moncrieff Translation Prize, Tom-Gallon Literary Awards and the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. His short story collections include: Song for Simone, A Way to Catch the Dust and Tell No one About This. His crime fiction novel, The Bone Readers won the inaugural Jhalak Prize in 2017. His acclaimed first novel Pynter Bender was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writer’s Regional Prize, The Society of Authors ‘Best first Novel’ and Caribbean Review of Books ‘Book of the Year’. He is Associate Fiction Editor at Peepal Tree Press and is Editor and/or Associate Editor of numerous anthologies:including Turf, Closure, The Peepal Tree Book of Caribbean Short Stories and The Free Reads Anthology. Jacob is an Arvon tutor, and a reader, tutor and Member of the Advisory Board of The Literary Consultancy. His latest novel, Black Rain Falling was published by Sphere in 2020
