Artswork in partnership with Arun District Council and Bognor Regis BID invites applications from an artist or group of artists or organisation to deliver a creative consultation process to take place over the Summer term 2022. This process will culminate in a public exhibition of work in any form exploring local young people’s visions for Bognor Regis town centre in July 2022.
The project will work cross-phase with two local primary schools, a secondary and at least one local youth group who are already attached and committed, with a schedule of work to be determined by the artist partner. Exploratory sessions may take place on site in these schools and clubs and/or workshop space in the exhibition venue on Place St Maur can be made available.
We are interested in proposals that will facilitate young people’s exploration of their area using a range of artforms including creative writing..
We are seeking an artist / artists / organisation with demonstrable experience in
– Facilitating youth voice across age groups from KS1 – 4
– High quality cross art form workshop delivery
– Experience creating and curating public exhibitions of work
The exhibition will take place in July 2022 in a 76m square new exhibition space runby the BID.
The fee for this work is £7500 to be inclusive of VAT, travel and materials. The commissioned artist must hold an up to date DBS and hold Public Liability Insurance to a value of at least £5million.

This project is part of the Arun Inspires programme of cultural investment in children and young people led by Artswork. A group of art students from Felpham Community College will be part of the selection panel.
