Part-time Book Keeper

New Writing South is looking for an experienced freelance book keeper to join our small and friendly team on a part-time basis.  The role will be approximately six hours a week (days/hours are flexible). Working from our central Brighton office in the Laines and within a few minutes of the station, we require an individual to:

  • Keep accounts using MYOB Software
  • Prepare and produce all purchase ledger transactions including checking financial controls
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Raising of cheques and BACS payments
  • Cash flow monitoring
  • VAT returns
  • Processing payroll for up to four employees
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports

Knowledge of Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) software and Apple Mac's would be advantageous but not essential. Ideally AAT qualified.  Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills.
