New Buds Awards
The New Buds Awards is an exciting bursary scheme to enable writers to apply for small development grant of up to £900.
The awards are about recognising talent, which ties into our key role in identifying new talent at an early stage and are aimed at helping emerging writers in the south east region* at early and/or crucial times in their career to apply for grants below the Arts Council’s Grants for the arts threshold.
The awards will also help us build new on-going working relationships with creative writers in the region and provide the opportunity to make a difference to their development and work.

Both rounds have now closed. Round 1 closed on 1 January 2011. Round 2 closed 5pm Monday 1 March 2011.
