Welcome to New Writing South
New Writing South aims to create an environment in the south in which creative writers and new writing can flourish. We do this by developing and nurturing writers and by encouraging a thriving new writing economy in our region.
We offer writers’ development, encouragement, resources and opportunities to make new contacts. We also programme numerous events that aim to enhance skills, stretch creativity and broker partnerships with those who produce and publish work.
Membership is open to everyone involved in creative writing in the south.

Writers at Work
We offer bespoke workshops informing practical, memorable and tangible experiences. These can range from the softer skills in the workplace including communication, teamwork and problem solving, to sharpening your writing skills, developing better ways to write plain English and move away from jargon.
