VANGUARD PRODUCTIONS
1. Commissioning Process
Vanguard Productions do not have any funds to commission writers but they do have two writers on their board who regularly research and write material for their nostalgic theatre.
2. Commissioning policy
The company are unable to offer writers vast sums of money to write full-length plays.
In the past they have produced new plays at theatres but have found this a prohibitive cost. The last one produced was at the Hawth in Crawley for a local Crawley writer who has since joined their board of directors.
3. Submission protocol
The company have received and do receive plays from local writers. Vanguard read these and submit a critique to the author. They do not encourage submissions because they are unable to produce them. In the past Vanguard used to produce new plays on the fringe but it is now the Company's policy to pay actors for their commitment.
