MOVING WORD THEATRE

The Sussex based Moving Word Theatre (formerly English Eurythmy Theatre) is an international touring company of actors, dancers and musicians. Founded in 1991, by Philip Beaven and Katherine Rubach, the company presents innovative performances in a variety styles utilising eurythmy, dance, physical theatre, puppetry, masks and music according to the needs of the production. Since its inception the company has toured throughout Britain, mainland Europe and Scandinavia as well as North America, giving over 1000 performances to audiences in theatres and schools.

The aim of the company is the exploration of the possibilities of eurythmy as a performing art. Developing its relationship to other movement arts, in performance, has led the company to create a unique style of visual theatre, that combines eurythmy with physical theatre and dance. Most shows are devised out of the ensemble of the company.
