1157 performance group are the theatre company in residence at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts and have been working with the venue since 1996. Founded in 1995 by performers Matthew Scott and Jo Dagless, 1157 have created a powerful body of work ranging from Shakespeare to devised work, new writing and installations. 1157 creates a vision - an orchestration of chaos and control that challenges audiences and critics alike. The work of 1157 is idiosyncratic, often the work mixes texts from classical sources and biographical material from the performers.
