Playtime Theatre Company
Playtime Theatre Company is a children's theatre company, touring it's work
to
schools, small-scale theatres, festivals etc. We do not have a specific
commissioning process or policy and are always happy to receive submissions
at
any time. We tour a wide range of topics - everything from Chaucer to fairy
btales to history or environmental plays. It can be useful to link into
curriculum subjects but this is not essential.
We look for small casts but this does not necessarily mean a small number of characters, as our actors often double (or triple) up and we like limited participation for the children. Plays are usually 1 hour in length.
Our own work is very visual and includes other art forms such as mime, singing, puppetry, phyisical theatre etc. Age ranges can be anything from 4 - 18; we have never tried under 5s yet but we are always will to try.
