Writers Going Public!
A chance to meet an exciting array of speakers and guests, including literary agents, publishers, e-publishing experts and professional development guides - all aimed to help you get your work out into the world.
Going Public is an opportunity to learn effective marketing strategies, gain professional tips and insights into the publishing world, such as how to approach agents and how mentoring and manuscript reading can help you. Plus there will be sessions PR, gain valuable sources of market information and if you’re after a little 1:1 attention for your writing, Going Public will be offering short intensive surgeries with professionals.
The guests include: The Literary Consultancy, publishers Myriad Editions, literary agents and publishers Raft and other professionals working within fiction.
Going Public is the final all-day event in the successful year-long Points of Fiction series.

When: Saturday 18 July 2009. Doors & Registration: 10am-10.15am. Finish: 4pm.
Where: Learning & Conference Centre, Jubilee Library, Jubilee Street, Brighton.
Cost: £35 members (£50 non-members)
Important booking information:
- Email mark@newwritingsouth.com with your workshop preferences. All places for workshops will operate on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Preference for 1:1 surgeries will be given to those who have completed three or more workshops in the Points of Fiction series. 35 places are available. All 1:1 surgeries must be booked in advance. Email mark@newwritingsouth.com stating your name and how you would like the 1:1 to help you.
