Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor
Director

Chris Taylor is passionate about new writing. A former arts publicist and theatre consultant she worked with leading companies including Paines Plough, the National Theatre, Birmingham Film Festival, Temba, Greenwich Theatre, the Young Vic, the Royal Opera House, the Roundhouse and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has produced Ken Campbell's 24 hour play - The Warp, several seasons of plays and a short film with writer/director Chris Allsop. Her teaching/lecturing experience includes Tehran University, INFOMAT Athens, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and Rose Bruford.

Mark Bryant

Mark Bryant
Operations Manager

Mark joined New Writing South from Arts Council England and has a background in Marketing and Communications. Mark is passionate about languages, social media and the arts - in particular music, contemporary visual art and theatre.



Justin Coe

Justin Coe
Creative Learning Manager (Maternity Cover)
Justin comes to New Writing South with a background in performance poetry, social work, event management and work in schools both as a creative practitioner and project manager. Justin co-founded Don’t Feed The Poets Productions, which produced the Word About Town literature festival in Hastings and a monthly spoken word night at The Three and Ten in Brighton. Since then, he has worked as an actor with Sunny Arts, an oral historian and a Creative Agent for Creative Partnership delivery organisations A New Direction and the Royal Opera House.

 

Anna Jefferson

Anna Jefferson
Creative Learning Manager (Materinty Leave)
Anna Jefferson joined New Writing South from South East Dance. She is Co-Director of Broken Leg Theatre and her most recent production won an Argus Angel award for Artistic Excellence as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival. She also runs script writing workshops with 7-16 year-olds for Little Green Pig Theatre Company.

 

Iain Williams

Iain Williams
Accounts Manager

Iain Williams has worked in the music, travel and nightclub industries. He joined New Writing South as book keeper in 2010 and is currently studying for professional accountancy qualifications at Brighton College. Hailing from a literary family - both his grandfather and great uncle were successful published writers - Iain's literary interests stem from his childhood spent living in Edinburgh with his grandfather who was a Minister of the Church of Scotland. Iain's interests include his own writing, African American history, early Jazz and early Photography.
